Emma Burzynski (b.1997, Canada) is currently an MA candidate in Textile Design at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, Sweden. She completed her BFA in Studio Art with a focus in Fiber & Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2019. She has exhibited work in Chicago, Berlin, Toronto, and Sweden.

Burzynski is a technically driven artist, working with both hand and industrial weaving technologies in order to explore the relationships of colour, weave binding, material, and image.

Most recently, Emma has been awarded a five-month internship with IKEA, as well as an artist residency at the TextielLab in Tilburg.
