Emma Burzynski (b.1997, Canada) is a technically driven artist, working with both hand and industrial weaving technologies to explore the relationships of colour, weave binding, material, and image. Burzynski is currently based in Älmhult, Sweden for a textile design internship with IKEA.

She completed her BFA in Studio Art with a focus in Fiber & Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2019, and recently received her master’s degree in textile design at the Swedish School of Textiles (SST) in 2025.

Emma has exhibited textile works in Canada, the United States, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden.



Most recently, Emma has been generously awarded a five-month internship with IKEA, as well as the Young Talent Award at the TextielLab in Tilburg.
